old school Rocksteady Music at Festival Int'l de Jazz de Montreal 2006

Hi everyone... specially fans of old-school rocksteady music...
Lorraine has prepared a special show just for the Montreal International Jazz Festival this year (thank you Jazz Fest!)... And who knows, it might be the birth of a touring show!
Sunday, July 2nd, 2006 at 8PM and 10PM
Samsung Stage (deMaisonneuve between Saint-Urbain and Jeanne-Mance)
"The Fabulous LoLo sings Rocksteady"
featuring several members of Lo and the Magnetics and ex-Kingpins; also Studio One guitarist turned bassist Errol Walters (from the Soul Vendors); and an unconfirmed appearance by another legendary guitarist from the other ska camp, that of Duke Reid (hint: he happened to create Rocksteady music!!)
Guest musicians, obscure songs, great music for all...

Salut les amis,
Et voici qu'enfin Lorraine a pu monter le spectacle qu'elle voulait faire depuis quelques années, et c'est grace au Festival International de Jazz de Montréal (un grand merci!).
Pour les amateurs de bonne musique, et surtout de vieux ska et rocksteady, soyez des notres dimanche le 2 juillet 2006 à 20h00 et encore à 22h00 sur la Scene Samsung (deMaisonneuve entre Saint-Urbain et Jeanne Mance) le spectacle
"The Fabulous LoLo sings Rocksteady"
met en vedette la voix de Lorraine, quelques membres de "Lo and the Magnetics" (anciens Kingpins) et guitariste devenu bassiste de Studio One (l'epoque de Alton Ellis et comapagnie) Errol Walters qui jouait avec le groupe jamaicain "Soul Vendors" ainsi qu'un invite non-confirmé
